  • About Me I work as a Content Editor with a leading publishing company in Nigeria, Literamed Publications Nigeria Limited. My work as a content editor cuts across so many sections: providing/editing contents (product description, promotional/ educational articles, etc.) for the company’s website and numerous social media platforms.

Due to my versatility, I also take charge of the e-commerce activities on the website; checking for the orders and processing the orders.

On volunteer level, I work as an Associate Web Editor for Saraba Magazine, a literary magazine aimed at ‘creating unending voices by publishing the finest emerging writers, with a bias for Nigeria, and Africa.’

On the same (volunteer) level, I also recently took up a Lexicographer job with Yorubaname.com, an online intervention to preserve and document all Yorùbá names in a multimedia format.

On a personal level, I run an arts and literary blog (www.artsnliterurenews.wordpress.com) where I feature my (and other writers’) stories, essays, and reviews. The blog also features up-to-date news about writing opportunities and other relevant events.

I have a BA in Literature from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

Presently, I am looking forward to getting opportunities to pursue a postgraduate course in Comparative literature, precisely African and Arabic literature.

  • Rahmatu Lawan BATTLE OF OUR SOUL All of us at some point in our lives have experienced feelings; excitement, happiness, sadness, depression, fear, anxiety, you name it. In fact, these feelings are human. But the difference is how we react to our feelings. Do we recognize them and behave rationally as they occur, or we act according to our emotions? We need to be able to attend a certain level of emotional maturity before we do the former. Believe me, it’s hard to attend in one's life. This is a battle of our lives and we must not lose sight of it until we breathe our last.

in the topic Does learning improves when every student gets a laptop? in the forum Teaching Methodology

The impact of technology in education can never be underestimated. Thus, having a laptop has a potential to greatly improve a student's learning. However, technology, as it is today, is double-edged. When students are properly guided, technology can greatly enhance knowledge acquisition. However, technology can turn out a mere distraction to students without proper orientation and guidance.
